I can recommend Mio Gusto on the beach road, next to Classical Plaza Spa Suites. Beautiful setting right on the beach, fabulous views over to the fortezza and great sunsets.

The food is fabulous, and the service first class.

Also very fond of Symposium in the old town which has, in my opinion, some of the best Cretan specialities in the town, especially rabbit.

Another of our favourites is Alki's, again on the beach road just along from Mio Gusto. Good traditional home cooked food and there is live Cretan music twice a week with the proprietor himself joining in with the singing and dancing.

There are just so many good eating places in Rethymno it's difficult to choose where to go.
